You are asked to judge, based on the evidence shown you in these articles, because you have the potential to be a King in the Kingdom of Yahweh. (7) Admissions of the Calculated Rabbinical Calendar is an article using the Jewish Ecylopedia and COG Quotes showing that the Churches of God do know and have admitted to knowing that the Hebrew Calendar they now adhere to, was and is in error. Well you obey Yahweh or will you continue to follow the traditions of men?

(1) The Biblical Calendar is needed to be understood before you can go on to understand the Jubilee message as so much about the Jubilee comes from understanding the deep meaning of each of the Holy Days laid out in Leviticus 23. This understanding is needed to be able to understand the timing of Prophecy that the Jubilee explains. (4) The Land Sabbath- A commandment for Today is an article by Hope Of Israel Ministries which explains why we need to keep the laws of the Land Rest years and the Jubilee in our age. They are not done away. (5) The article I am currently rewritting. Times Up! No More Excuses. It should soon be ready but is not now. I have now posted it on the site and will edit it as time permits. I beleive it to be so important that it can not wait any longer. It will explain when the Jubilee is and the importance of understanding it’s meaning. By Understanding this you then can understand prophecy in a much clearer light, and not be blown around by the many interpretations that are out there. Understanding the calendar and all the articles aforementioned is needed if you are to understand this. Skipping to the end will not help the serious student to understand. We are living in the last days. You do need to know what Yahweh is going to do next and how long it will last. Times Up! No More Excuses explains this in a convincing manner. (6) The Sign The Seal and The Secret is a very deep understanding of the Jubilee message and conclussion of Yahweh’s Plan. I myself have argued against it in the past passionately. It is only after much prayer and study that I have come to understand this controversial subject. Graig Peters does a good job of explaining it.

On Friday July 4, 2008 the New Moon was sighted from Jerusalem. The
moon was first sighted from Jerusalem by Nehemia Gordon at 19:52 and
the over the next few minutes by five others. The moon was also
sighted from elsewhere in Jerusalem by Ferenc Illesy and from Tekoa by
Bruce Brill and Chen-El Brill.

On Monday April 7, 2008 the new moon was sighted from several
locations around Israel. The moon was sighted:

*from Eilat by Eli El-Tanani and Shai El-Tanani at 19:13
*from Ashdod by Neriah Haroeh and Nilit Masliach at 19:15
*from Mitzpeh Ramon by Bart Vangronsvelt and Ganneke Kunst at about 19:15
*from Beersheva by Simchon Firouz, Kobi El-Tanani, and Ovadiah Firouz
at about 19:30
*from highway 6 by Chad and Barbara Peterson at 19:39

On the previous evening, Sunday April 6, the moon had a lagtime of 33
minutes and illumination of 0.52% which means it was not visible under
any circumstances from Israel.

Expected New Moon Sightings 2008-2009

The list of expected sightings of the new moon over the next biblical
year has now been published at:

The list contains the Gregorian dates for “potential visibility”, that
is, when the moon will be visible providing there are no clouds.
According to the “potential visibility” system New Moon day is still
observed when the moon is not sighted due to clouds. This year, three
new moons cannot be predicted with 100% certainty and in these months
we use the ancient system of “raw 30-day sighting”. In the “raw 30-day
sighting” system we look for the moon at the end of the 29th day of
the lunar month and if it is sighted then that evening begins the new
month; if the moon is not sighted at the end of the 29th day then the
next evening is automatically the beginning of the lunar month whether
or not there are clouds.

Expected New Moons and Appointed Times for 2008
Listed below are the computations for 2008 for the expected dates of New Moon visibility from Jerusalem, as well as the moladim (i.e., average time of astronomical conjunction) of the Calculated Rabbinical Calendar (CRC). The difference between the dates for the two calendars is also noted.

The possible projected dates for the Eternal’s Appointed Times for 2008 are given in the tables below the New Moon listings. There are two possible dates for the head of the year: March 9th and April 8th. If the barley is not abib by March 9th, the year will commence April 8th. Due to the dependency on the state of the barley, we will be unsure of the correct start of the year until the 2008 abib report is received from Israel. Please check back for updates. We will post the abib information once it is received.

We will have no dates in common with the CRC-observant CoGs for the Holy Days this year.

PLEASE NOTE: The “Visible Crescents” column dates are the dates on which the New Moon is expected to be seen–beginning at sunset of the listed day. All dates listed are to be reckoned from sunset of listed day and date through the next day at sunset in the following New Moon table. [If the VISIBLE CRESCENT column lists Thursday, March 30, for example, then the 1st day of that month by crescent is from sunset of March 30 through sunset of March 31. If the CRC’s MOLAD column lists Wednesday, March 29, then by CRC’s molad, it is from sunset of March 29 through sunset of March 30.]

* 13th month - In 2008, the Calculated Rabbinic Calendar includes a 13th month, while the Observation Calendar may not have one. The Scriptures declare the New Year to begin with the New Moon of the abib–which is the stage of barley growth wherein the barley is in the ear and its seed remains when parched. The CRC’s leap year (i.e., years with a 13th month) determination however is solely based upon the Metonic Cycle, and therefore has no true relation to the stage of growth of the barley in the Land of Israel. We will know for a surety when the year begins once the barley reports are received. Please check back for updates. * molad - The CRC, contrary to what some may think, is not based on first visibilty of the moon after conjunction–it is based on the “molad.” The Hebrew word means “birth,” but the term in rabbinical calculated calendar usage refers to the average conjunction of the earth, moon, and sun (average length being 29.53059 days). The molad may occur on the actual astronomical new moon, but the two terms are not interchangable. The molad may also occur upon the first day of crescent visibility, or yet within a few days on either side of it (as evidenced in the chart above).
